what freetime?

My days.. I can say most of them are like school + costume + sleep + school etc.. This costume takes so much time that I even cant.. but it's worth it, yeah it is.

lemme start with the blades this time. They were painted with the silver paint just like the rest gear. The hande was colored to black ( i need to add the varnish because that black damn color will be in my hands if i dont do it.. ) And thenn i painted that empty part with brown paint / gotta to repaint it and add the black lines ^^ (lol that super junior poster there .. kk)

As you guys can remember these were made of matchboxes, they belong to the 'belt' part. They were painted with silver paint too.

The rest of the gear was painted also, those tiny matchboxes were attached to the belt with a pop rivet. Brown parts were painted twice because the brown color didnt really want to go together with the silver one.. I just need to add those black ropes or what ever they are and then it's done ~!

and these logo's .. it was hard to paint these but im glad i finally succeeded in painting them. I used the same technique than i used with the bigger one.
Then i just 'sewed' them to that jacket by my little hands (and accidentally caused some wounds to my hands with the needle..  thats why i have a plaster there haha) I also removed those pinky buttons and realized i dont really need any buttons! :D

and yes.. i wasted 46 euros to these.. I have the all the mangas of ouran high school host club now.. maybe I have to start collecting snk.. ^^ (but the mangas are so expencive T^T)

Joining the Recon Corps

Okay.. that jacket.. geez. It was supposed to be more light brown that it runed to be.. but what ever. I'm going to be different Jean anyways. After dying those damn pink yarns were too visible (again T^T do I never learn lol..) So I had to color every single one of them with a brown pen that is meant for fabrics.. Jacket after colouring the yarns can bee seen on the right. And the difference is visible. I'm going to remove those annoying pink buttons as soon as I will buy brown or black ones.

And then the Recon Corps logo.. I printed out picture of it and cut it out with tiny sissors. Then I drew it on the fabric with a pencil before adding the balck pen meant for the fabrics. I made two moulds, one for the grey part and one for the 'wings'. Then i just simply painted it on the fabric with fabric dyes that i bought /they were too expencive TT TT. This is how it looks after sewing the logo to jacket with my own tiny hands (oh boy it took time.. like many hours..) I don't know why does the jacket look so blackish here.. maybe it's because of the light but it's really dark brown, not black thank god. I have to paint two more logos.. ughh

The rest of the gear was alos painted with primer, including the blades. I'm going to paint them again and add the darker details later. It's easier to paint them all grey before adding the silver finishing paint.

(Winter) Cosplay vacation

Vacation, finally! I have time to write and update about things I've done so far. And now I have also time to work on the cosplay costume which is not going to be as easy as I thought. I wanted something challenging, but this is maybe almost too challenging to me :D I've faced many problems but I still keep doing this that I can be proud of it later ^^

Let's start with the blades that aren't painted yet. They were sawed of the plywood (as I mentioned last time.) I refined them and added the details to those handles. (Made of cardboard of course) While making them I was afraid that I cant fit them ti the boxes, but they were luckily small enough. (It's easier to put them in the boxes than carry them around during the con.. lol)

And then the belt thing (I have no clue what's it called..) The piece of poster tube was attached to the belt with two big screws. The details were made of thin tin and it was attached with two tiny srews too. I had to cut 9 cm pieces from the belt because it was too long. / Nice ads there lol

The boxes were painted with the primer and unfortunately I had only one spray primer and that wasn't enough.. I need to buy more tomorrow. While refining the putty (that was added to the boxes before) one part of the gas bottle unsticked.. So I had to glue it once again..

I found this shirt from the local second hand shop and it's color is perfect! *^*

I can't say the same about this jacket. I was up to order the Survey Corps jacket, but there's a risk that I might to get one with wrong size or it might to arriwe too late. So I decided I'm going to dye that old jacket with a brown color that hopefully becomes lighter because of the original color of the jacket. I don't know what's going to happen.. I will see it tomorrow :D / If it turns to be dark brown or black.. I will be punk jean or something then..

And because I didn't want to waste money to new jeans (Jeans.. lol ok what) I used my old ones that were light blue and 'whitened' them with chlorite.. (it took 4 days to  whiten them..) The blue yarns are still visible but the black part (that is seen below) will cover them.

I made it of old black shirt, I haven't sewed it yet, I just tested how it looks like ^^
Tomorrow I'm going to buy some leather to the straps and maybe some belts too. I will update about that jacket too.. I hope the dye will stick nicely :)
